Re-Hallowing

What does it mean to engage in a period of re-hallowing? To re-hallow generally means "to begin again" or to find what is sacred again. Hallow at it's core means to respect greatly or even more powerfully - to set apart for holy use. We often get so caught up in "all the things" in life and business that we may forget what we mean to set apart and hold as sacred in our lives. When we forget - there are consequences. So how do we remember? How do we pause and re-hallow, bringing our hearts and actions back to or rediscover that we hold most sacred?

I am entering a season of re-hallowing - so this is close to my heart and taking up deep space in my thoughts. I have been holding space for quieting my soul and pausing in the world around me. I am both excited and curious about where my thoughts will take me. To re-hallow does not necessarily mean to find a path you were already taking, although it could. It could also mean taking inventory of your beliefs, values, and surroundings to decide what may be true that you didn't see before.

We are in full bore of the holiday season, with world events swirling around us in what can feel like increasing levels of chaos. It can be easy to dismiss the need to pause, even though many speak words of wanting to savor this season or have the best of intentions to go into the new year with new goals and renewed focus. I am inviting you to pause. Refuse to get too caught up in the noise.

What have you abandoned without thought to what you are throwing away? Or by contrast, what have you been pouring your soul into that no longer deserves that space? What consequences do you see coming if you don't identify or remember that which is most sacred to you? What do you want to fully recognize in yourself, your needs, and your wants, to set apart and design steps to begin again?

What do you need to do to Re-Hallow?

Let me know if you want help getting started on a re-hallowing in your life. These are big questions and sometimes it helps to have someone to assist in navigating along the way.
